Getting a Tight Seal: How the Sipplet's Gasket Lid Works
A flip-top lid with a moulded gasket seal — here's how to use it right.
The design
Sipplet's lid is a flip-top design with a moulded rubber gasket around the seam. The gasket is what does the sealing work — it compresses against the jar's rim when the lid is closed, the same basic principle as a travel mug or reusable water bottle.
Getting a reliable seal every time
Across this whole product category, the vast majority of leaks come down to the same handful of causes: the lid not fully twisted or clicked shut, the jar overfilled past its fill line (liquid has nowhere to go but out), or a gasket that's worn, torn, or has debris caught in it. None of that is specific to Sipplet — it's true of any blender with a lidded jar.
Practical habits that help: fill to the marked line, not above it; make sure the lid clicks fully shut before you shake or pack it; and give the gasket a quick visual check every so often for wear.
Where we're honest about limits
We haven't published a formal leak-resistance rating for Sipplet, because we haven't run the kind of standardized test (inversion, shake cycles, submersion) that a rating like that requires. Until we have, we'd rather tell you how the seal is built and how to use it well than claim a performance number we can't back up.
